AIAIAI TMA-2 Move XE Overview

By Photo’s Trevor Collins

Taking the signature sound, build quality, and modularity of the TMA-2 platform and adding wireless Bluetooth 5.0 support, the TMA-2 Move XE from AIAIAI offers the same distortion-free audio at high volumes found in its wired siblings. With soft and comfortable low-isolation REPREVE coverings, these headphones are optimized for home listening.

The TMA-2 Move XE sports over 40 hours of playback and an intuitive joystick for controls. Dual mics provide crystal-clear calls. With every part being exchangeable, just like the wired TMA-2 headphones, TMA-2 Move XE lets you build the ideal headphones for your needs. TMA-2 Move XE includes a straight 5′ audio cable for optional wired listening, a 3.5mm to 1/4″ TRS screw-on adapter, and a protective pouch.

Bio-Cellulose Drivers with Balanced, Detailed Sound Engineered with 40mm signature bio-cellulose diaphragms to reduce distortion, the TMA-2 Move XE headphones are designed with a clear and highly detailed soundstage. The speaker unit contains a bio-cellulose diaphragm made from bacterial cellulose, an organic compound grown using certain types of bacteria.

The precision-grown diaphragm from biocellulose is stiffer, lighter, and stronger than regular PET speaker units, allowing the sound-producing diaphragm to vibrate without the levels of distortion found in other speakers. Each of these qualities results in more accurate and detailed sound from the speaker with the ability to retain clarity of sound at high volumes.

Intuitive Controls and Clear Calls Enjoy complete control of music and calls with the multi-directional joystick on the back of the right-side speaker unit. Dual mics are also included for improved voice quality and clarity by filtering out background noise. Comfortable On-Ear Pads The on-ear memory foam cushions covered with REPREVE, a soft and lightweight performance material with low isolation. Made from high-quality fibers derived from recycled materials, including plastic bottles, REPREVE cushions emphasize mid-range detail for a well balanced sound profile. The headband is slim and made from lightweight polycarbonate with soft, durable polyurethane foam padding. Modular for Life-Long Performance As a music creator, you need headphones that can keep up with your evolving needs and styles. The TMA-2 modular headphone system offers a customizable solution that adapts to your creative process. With interchangeable components such as earpads, cables, and drivers, you can upgrade or change parts of your headphones to improve sound quality, comfort, or style.

By investing in this modular headphone system, you’re not just buying headphones; you’re investing in a long-term solution that evolves with your music. This reduces electronic waste while ensuring that you always have the optimal headphones just for you.
