A Guide to Birding with Binoculars

Outfitted with a magnification and objective lens combination preferred by hunters, birders, and outdoor enthusiasts, the Alpen Optics 10×42 Wings Waterproof Binoculars can be your go-to optic for all outdoor activities in any weather conditions.

The 42mm objectives gather all the light needed to keep views crisp and bright in challenging conditions such as at dawn and dusk without being overly bulky or cumbersome. The wide field of view helps to minimize the distracting hand-shake that is common with high-power optics and reduces side-to-side head movement while providing both a comfortable eye relief and wide exit pupil. Utilizing an open bridge with dual hinges helps to reduce weight while providing ample room to wrap your hands completely around the optical tubes for a better grip.

Optical Performance

• 10x magnification brings objects in close for detailed observation
• 42mm objective lenses improve light-gathering ability, even in challenging conditions such as at dawn and dusk, without the bulk or weight of larger objectives
• Compact roof prisms help to produce a thinner housing size without compromising performance
• BAK4 prisms deliver a round exit pupil and a crisp and clear image with limited edge distortion
• Anti-reflection fully multicoated optics improve light transmission, color rendition, and contrast
• Short 8.2-foot close focus distance is ideal for making detailed observations of small subjects like birds, bees, insects, flora & fauna at feeders and flower beds
• Wide apparent angle of view minimizes the appearance of distracting hand-shake
• Spacious 347′ field of view at 1000 yards
